Is anybody still enjoying the Gladiator by Icarus?
I did a few repaints for it in the past, but my main problem was always that a) there was no paintkit, and b) the basic textures were so dirty and weathered, while especially pre-war Glads were always very well polished...

Recently, I was pointed towards a repaintkit for the Gladiator for IL-2 that looked very familiar....and waddayaknow...it fits perfectly!!
I quickly tried out some of my paints and here's the result:

You still have the baked-in reflectivity that I'm not fond of, but at least we have cleaner Glads. Anybody still interested in these paints?

Well done - the Icarus Gladiator is one of the best vintage biplanes for FSX - allong with the Hawker Heroes Fury.

According to this video review, the flaps on this model have no effect. Was that ever fixed?

I did my own fix to the airfile in the Gladiator thread here... http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=22197&highlight=gladiator

Glad you like'em. I think this looks much better too.
Please note that these are just very quick updates, I may do a few more real repaints in the future, we'll see.

If you have a download manager you have to disable it. But then I get this...

I just used the Firefox 3.5.5 internal download manager. It came down first time and I was able to open it.

Have you tried both Internet Exploder and Firefox?

I only use MS Ie8. Until now it has never failed me although it can be a little long winded.

Fifteen years of IT support has taught me to steer clear of Microsoft web browsers using the widest route possible. Internet Explorer bears no resemblance at all to international standards and is just an easy method of getting every virus out there that didn't already get in via Outlook.

You might gather from this that my recommendation is to try another browser.
