Gmax problems with vista

I have problems with fsds and gmax in vista, they wont work, both of them display serious problems when i try to load them up.
Its a brand new machine too. But on my older machine which is a p4 job the software works fine.
Any suggestions?

Vista 32 or 64 ?

FSDS2 works fine for me with Vista 32 but doesn´t work with Vista 64.

I only use 32 bit for designing stuff or playing games on both machines.
Maybe a direct-x problem. any how i will figger it out some how.

you have to beat Vista in to submission, probably. Turn off the UAC, get rid of wasteful excess graphics, turn compatibility mode on, etc. I have a copy of gmax installed (don't use it much, unfortunatly...) and it works flawlessly of my thoroughly whipped copy of Vista Home Basic 32

I gave up and degraded back to XP.

right click the GMAX.exe file and try running it in WinXP mode
