..and the mighty Explorer!!..
I survived this afternoon an accident with a Chevy Silverado, i got T-boned in an intersection, the car is a total, but i left the debris UNSCRATCHED, yup, you read it right, dizzy and scared, but NO BRUISES, i already sent FMC a long THANK YOU email for producing such a life saving car...being in the blast of 2 airbags is not an experience i want to repeat, but the other guy was not that lucky and broke his jaw (even as his airbag deployed as well), and this guy was completely drunk.
So thank God, i´m here to tell the story..
Best regards

Prowler, glad to hear you're OK. But watch yourself for the next few days and see a doctor ASAP if you start feeling bad. Some injuries can take a couple days to kick in.

Good to hear that you are better off than the other party.

If I may be so bold to offer some sound advice? 17 years in the insurance business taught me that people should not discount the adverse effects of a serious accident. Air bags are nice, they do save lives. But the human body can handle just so much, even if it's not telling you otherwise. PLEASE, if you haven't already done so, go see a doctor as soon as possible. The pain will be there tomorrow when you wake up, it's the pain that you don't feel that can be the concern.

There is too much chance and I saw too many claims files to know that people don't usually just walk away from a major collison without any adverse effects.

I was taken immediately to an E.R., specialist said i should take things easy and be very careful about dizziness, dry mouth, or blurriness, he did a retina checkup and all the reflexes were there, i´m at home now, but got all my family around checking me like i´m a freaking alien..lol..so far they just found out (after years of complaining out loud) that i got back problems...LOL

Oh Man!

I am really glad to hear that you are ok!
I hope you are successful in taking the loser to court!!!

Very glad it's a good news story!
And now everyone realises how valuable you really are! ;)

Sounds like a scary incident, good to hear you are okay. Cars can always be replaced but... Did the incident get picked up by the local press? Please let us know what happens to moron who caused it.

Just an update, as LCsims predicted, i´m in pain, the Dr. was here this morning, he said it´s normal once the adrenalin wears down, so i´m on pain killers for today, my reflexes are ok and normal, woke up pretty alert (besides the muscle pain) so i´ll be a pest around here since there is not much i can do..lol, i´m scheduled for x-rays this afternoon, but so far, so good,As for the MFER that caused this, AFAIK has been taken care of by our family lawyer (who happens to be my cousin).

\0/ PTL!!!

glad to hear you are alright. i hope you lawyer cousin is a pitbull. if you don't do something to seriously deter this drunk from continuing, the next person he does this too may not be so lucky.

Prowler~

You were truly blessed my friend! I'm glad to hear you are ok. Of course, you'll be sore for the next few days, but that's nothing compared to what could have happened...
