The most important thing Firefox has given me is the noscript addon.

For now I have installed Duckduckgo browser. It doesn't work with all sites but it's good enough for now.

Been using Duck Duck Go (and Safari) for years now

I agree with the Google/Bing always trying to get their fingers into your business. I have found Opera in conjunction with the Search Engine at startpage.com . Startpage is really good about no tracking and I'm 100% happy with it. Opera, OTOH, is adequate for about 80% sites I visit. But I rather the inconvenience rather than the privacy issues with the other browsers.
