Anybody got Google Earth ? A new feature uses aerial photos from WWII - must take a look.

Baldy,

I don't see a link when I bring up Googlearth. Perhaps I have an older version or I'm just not seeing it. Is the link in the "Layers" section?

Go into the drop dowms...tools or views and click Historical Imagery. That brings up a slider top LH side, slide it to 1943 and cruise over europe looking for grey patches - lots of German cities. Also works in other areas - I found a view of the farm I lived on in 1963 in NZ!

you will go here where you could download the 580009.kmz that will place a grid in GGH you will see all the part of the world covered by the US army maps,in diverse scale, and clicking on the center of each grid in GGh the corresponding map will appear,reading the post linked you'll understand better that I could explain....
