Got a few mil to spare...and like classic jet airliners?

Just incredible how some people live..

Some people have a little Nissan or Toyota to go to work in, and live in an apartment.

Some people have a jet to go to work in, and live in a mantion or tower in downtown New York...

Crazy world we live in.

He must be one hard working soul...

On the same basis as Rolls Royce cars have zero resale value, I wonder who'd want a used previous-gen trijet, with astronomical maintenance costs and limited range?
Especially one with a gold-plated washbasin... :d

Its a classic too! :d

Take it to the flyin's.. Go to Oshkosh in it and you already have a place to stay .. (in it.. )

I wonder what the lower deck looks like. That is all storage. I wonder if they have extra rooms and all down in there..

Right...sort of like a caravan :d
Plenty of room for carrying the camping gear below decks, though not much room for people:

Why would he sell it anyway? Sure it would burn lots of fuel and may cost heaps in maintenance, it still flies faster than a BBJ! And gets to its destination 30 mins ahead of the BBJ as well!!

I'd buy it, impress lots of chicks with it and be the king of the Mile High Club. Heck yeah!

i happened to detail a rolls just the other day. the owner talked to the guy i worked for that day and said "can you sell this for me?" with no idea what it may be worth. it's an 87 silver spur. the guy i was working for says it's worth about $30,000. all i know is, it was gorgeous inside, and in pristine condition.
i didn't find it very attractive on the outside though.

I'm constantly amazed at the "average" man's shock and awe when he discovers the toys of the rich and ostentatious. :icon_lol:

Long before the Donald were oil barons with luxo jets; every sheik worth his oil wells had a flying palace; back in the 60's I had the pleasure of touring a private DC-6 (they were still in sked service) owned by a stock and mining entrepreneur that had marble tabletops, gilt-framed paintings, silk upholstery that replaced his DC-4 that didn't have gold sinks (only marble with gold-plated faucets :icon_lol:), a gilt chandelier (wonder how that got past the FAA?) and an airstair (on a DC-4!).
Before that we had private railway cars, hugely-expensive yachts, gold-plated carriages and probably a Roman or two wandering about their estates in gilded chariots.

If ya got it, flaunt it!

...but in reality it's just a way to travel independently, in style and able entertain at the level which is expected without the hordes of the unwashed leaning over their shoulders.

You shouldn't be...there are a few subtle differences between impressive, ostentatious, and vulgar.
Sadly the transport choices of the (mostly nouveau) riche fall in the latter category.
I love being shocked by it all.
