Got a really strange issue...

Ok as some of you saw I have my autogen slider maxed out and am getting good FPS in downtown chicago. Right now I'm flying over north dakota and am getting a bunch of popping sounds in my speakers and headset. I've turned my autogen down and it fixes it.

My question is, why would this happen in the middle of nowhere where there's hardly any autogen, but not in the middle of one of the biggest cities in the world?

I notice that when it starts making the popping noise, my FPS takes a 5-6 fps hit at the same time. A while back someone said it had something to do with AA settings. My bufferpools is at 300 mb if that makes any difference.

Does anyone know what is causing this and if there is a way I can fix it?

Take the bufferpools off and try to duplicate it again in the same area...

Hey KK,

My thoughts are that you are losing radiation containment around the core in your nuclear powered computer!

Try checking the heavy water (Duetuerium). Run a level one diagnostics, and dont forget to check your radiation badge to see if you are getting a leak somewhere.. That would certainly effect the GC and produce some noise effects..

(autogen at max setting???? arrghh.. :banghead: )

I feel with you...

I have long ago given up on trying to understand the arcane workings of FS.

I am just grateful if it works and resigned to my fate when it doesn't...

FS always has another surprise in store for the unwary user, usually just when you thought you had it made! :faint:
