State troopers said that a man and woman injured Friday when their motorcycle veered off the road........were both NAKED.
Steven Sheals 38, and his passenger Jennifer Smith, 30, are expected to recover from their injuries.
In addition to being charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving without a license, license revoked, expired inspection and no insurance, Sheals was also charged with NOT WEARING A HELMET.
Sheals, a bomb disposal technician, is a Marine gunnery sergeant at Camp Lejeune.

And of course in the article they have to include the fact that he's a Marine, just to reinforce to the public that only military people do this kind of stupid sh*t. :mad:
 
Yeah, if he had been a shoe salesman for Stride Right I doubt that employment would have been mentioned.

But, he will certainly faces the end of his career. Just the DWI will destroy it. The rest will just add more pain to the experience.

You're right, Ken. Years ago you could keep your civil entanglements pretty much separate from your military career, so long as they didn't involve actions while on duty. Nowadays with the established "zero tolerance" policies for alcohol and drug abuse, even a first-offense DUI will be a career-killer. Hope the Gunny came in right after HS so he's got 20 in. :frown:
 
Yep, his career is pretty much done. Seeing he's a gunny and 30 years of age, odds are he is close to having or has his 20 years in service. Sad way to end a career.
