Grass Roots Airpark

Luddite in Training
I found this neat little grass field while searching for something else on the net. I offered it to JoeW, because it IS a Central Florida GA field, but was sort of glad he didn't take it. The Airpark is one of the newer have-a runway-in your-front/back-yard communities, but it's built with a lot of craftsman style details. It's pretty neat.

Grass Roots Airpark has hosted flyins for the Florida Antique Biplane Association, and the Florida Cub Fliers. I guess it's just in time for the new Cubs coming out.

I'll wrap it up, package it, and upload it tomorrow.

Enjoy!

Hey Jim,

This is cool!

By the way, this is a famous airfield (for those that do not know), and was recently presented in a cool article in a recent issue of EAA's Sport Aviation.

Thanks, Guys. It seems my UVW's for the clubhouse made a left at Albuquerque. I had to redo them today and while I was at it, I added a marble compass rose I saw in a pic of David and Ann Gay, the owners.

I just uploaded it to Simviation and Flightsim. Look at the Airpark in the summer as well.

Good Idea, Jim.... :applause:
... Thanks Jim ....:wavey:
One quick Question, Jim. :kilroy:
OK; what is it, Jim? :bump:
Are you using a FS2002/4 developers tool which includes these modeled hangers, etc., Jim?

I think I must be going :isadizzy:I feel like I'm having a conversation with myself....:icon_lol:

Query from one Jim to another Jim. :engel016:

The hangars have been custom modeled in GMAX. I use Instant Scenery to put the objects in the right place.
