• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Hey everyone,
Especially anyone from Wisconsin. It's that time of year for the annual Manitowoc, WI airshow. "Thunder On The Lakeshore"

If you haven't gone in a long time or have never gone, this is a can't miss show.
Best "bang for you buck" airshow going.

This year's show starts with a B-2 fly over!
The show always has a nice mix of warbirds, acro and military. And it's CHEAP!!!!! Get there around 9-9:30 and your out by 5:30. Good eats too!

There's a night show on saturday so it's probably going to be worth staying a bit later!

Awwww We planned on going to Manitowoc this year, went last year and Toms right best bang for the buck airshow going, wont make it this year BUT Im in PA and I am going to the Mid Atlantic airshow on sunday!
 
Unfortunately will not be there. Have to work this weekend. Been there several times and it is impressive.

I'll be sitting right on the corner of the taxiway leading out to 35 (south end). That spot looks like it would be way off center, but actually it's almost airshow center. And the best part is that everyone taxi's right in front of you going out and coming in.
I'll be the guy sitting alone (buddy couldn't come last minute)with the cheap camera wishing had had the 300mm lens.
 
I saw the posters at work and was going to go but got an unexpected 4 day weekend so I drove home to catch up on the yard work. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. It doesn't seem to do so to often over there.
