Ground shadows

Is there any way to darken the ground shadowing effect? I preferr a little more darkness than I am seeing right now......its seems too dim.

thank you!

I'd love to know this also. I love using real weather, but the thing I hate the most about FSX is how the shadows virtually disappear when you have clouds. I know many run with shadows off, but I can't ever do that, looks really odd.

I don't know how or if you can manually adjust the shaders for the ground shadows, but I do know that it is directly associated with how much visibility you set in the weather settings. Clear-visibility will give you the darkest shadows - when I want dark shadows, I typically settle of 50-mile visibility when making the weather, though I prefer to fly with the visibility set at about 20 or 30 miles, which makes the shadows quite a bit less apparent.

Have you tried the freeware bloom effect ? I'm now using it as it emphasises shadows and light tones really well. I got one from here already set up and all you have to do is press Shift+F12 to switch on or off. It may or may not work, but worth a go. I don't fly with ground shadows, so can't comment on them.
