Ground2k starting for CFS2

Hi all.

Ground2k is the only program we have to draw roads, shorelines and streams in CFS2. The program works fairly well, but sometimes crashes while scrolling the background image. This is a fault of Visual Basic 6.

I've written a small C# loader program that will change the desktop to 16 bit color depth, run Ground2k, then return the desktop to 32 bit on exiting Ground2k.

The loader is made to run on WindowsXP, and may need service pack3. It may also run on Vista.

Another help is to use 8 bit images for background bitmaps in Ground2K.

Another useful tool for terrain work is LEC.

A problem with VTP1 polys is present in CFS2, causing artifacts... the fix is to run the assembly file through a fixer program:
