Grumman F7F-3 Tigercat WIP

Personally I love the cockpit view G-effects (eyepoint movement based on the movement of the aircraft), but as both of you along with some others have pointed out, some people don't. For that very reason I have included more than one choice. The first view is the standard view with no movement (Pilot), second is the same but with a downward view of just the instrument panel (IFR View), and third is view swaying based on aircraft movement (G-view).

Greg thanks for considering those of us who don't prefer the cockpit head sway. That always takes away from my dog fighting.

The old textures will not work correctly. The new model has some changes that required me to make alterations to the skin. I'm trying to keep the changes to a minimum but in some instances it can't be helped. The additional detail in the model means I will have to adjust the textures to allow for the additional details.
 
I'd still like know of a way to remove the headshaking on some other planes. The spit14 comes to mind.

I luv G FX and miss 'em when they ain't there...

They make it seem more like firing a gun and less like electronicky...

Anything that adds ta the immersion's what its all about... (ta me anyways)

I do agree to a degree.

I think I'd like it if either ALL my planes had it or ALL didn't. It's the inconsistancy that drives me nuts.

All the headshaker/G-view movements in any CFS3 aircraft are directly modeled into the aircraft's .m3d model. To remove the effect requires that you either A) have the original source and make a new cockpit, B) make a new cockpit model without the source and replace the original or, C) you could try to edit the cockpit .m3d with a hex editor to remove certain effects. I'm fairly certain that option C may not work in all cases.

I also want to point out there are two types of "headshaker" movements that I've seen. 1) The eyepoint moves based on the movement of the aircraft or G-forces. 2) The eyepoint moves based on the movement of the stick/yoke. My preference is option 1 and that is what all my models will use. Option 2 isn't bad but it becomes an annoyance for me because I'll be sitting still on the ground and move the stick and my eyepoint moves despite there being no aircraft movement or G-forces that would cause the pilot's head to move.
 
I managed to remove the head sway from the DPC Korea Sabre's by hex editing the m3d file. I have not been able to do that with any other aircraft. I tried in vein to remove the effect from the Spit Mk-14 cockpit the same way, with no luck. I ended up using the freeware schmittfire cockpit for the Mk-14.

I tried and failed also. I'm using the stock cockpit but it's slightly flawed in that model. I'm going to go look for that cockpit you're using from this freeware schmittfire.
 
I modified the schmitfire and it looks pretty good if you ask me. PM me with your email if you want it and I will send it to you.
 
if this baby will get AvH flight model, it's very likely that it will replace P-38 as my favorite twin-engined fighter..:ernae:
