Grumman F9F-8P Cougar

Don't get over-enthusiastic - tyres are flat...:biggrin-new:! Seriously another great addition from Rob, one I'm looking forward to as well. As for turning 50 DL, you should be so lucky....lucky, lucky, lucky!!:very_drunk:

Oh, wow! There are so many great planes being released lately, they've made it a joy to be in this hobby. I'm definitely looking forward to this release. Rob always surprises us. :very_drunk:

I confess, ever since news of this broke out, I've visited his site almost every day in the hopes of an update. There I said it. I regret nothing! :biggrin-new:

But joking aside, 2 new dev shots - full PBR - looks simply amazing. Love the camera access panels.

Rob, you're going to make a few of us extremely grateful and happy. Hope it will work for V4.5, but understand if not.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm definitely looking forward to this as well. However, I was also really looking forward to his Supermarine Seagull. Any idea on what happened to it? It's nowhere on his site now.

Having trouble with the Seagull VC as there is no information whatsoever available on the subject, just an old "Areoplane" cutaway drawing.
I am still working on it albeit very intermittently.
Once I get the Photo Cougar out of my system I'll give it more time.

Thanks Rob. I'll see if I have any info on the cockpit.

A Supermarine Walrus is actually a Seagull V so maybe this'll help ?

cheers,

Thank you very much for the information.
You are quite right and the Walrus cockpit has been a starting point for my Seagull.
This is what I have so far, all guesswork though! (nothing new there then)

I know the sound file is missing, so I just copied that out from the other Cougars. But all worked fine for me?

Just downloaded it.

Looks fabulous. In V4.5, the canopy is "tinted" - I'll see if I can monkey with MCX to make it a bit better for this sim. I get that Rob intended it for v5, so that's just what it is.

Rob, thanks so much - I hope I can do some tweaks so I can run in v4.5 - but the salient point is a huge thanks for this great photo-bird. I've dreamed of this since FS9, so you have no idea how thrilling this is.

Many thanks,

dl
