Grumman HU-16 Albatross in Sim

If it's true that some people are getting the 2024 versions and others aren't, that seems like a bit of a legal issue

I’m certain it’s not intentional if that’s the case, but more likely the bailing wire holding Marketplace together. I’ve found all kinds of peculiarities, such as 2024 planes bought with their dumbcoins not entitling you properly to the 2020 version.

I think installing and running 2024 may be what triggers the 2020 plane versions to unlock

Nope. I run 2024 98% of the time and I checked for 2020 entitlements with no luck.

The way 2020 runs on my rig, hassle free, I see no reason yet to go to 2024 to be honest.

Same with me. Although I hear we may be getting an enhanced broadband internet connection "within the next year" so maybe that will be my "switchover" point

Just got it and I like it!
Is there any way to use the classic panel for the GIII/GIIILR ? There is no option to change panels in the EFB like it is in the HU-16.

Nope. The modern G-111 only has the one option.
If you haven't updated this one in the Content Manager, go do it. You now have another option on the G-111, even if it's not steam. You now get a G3X option, selectable in the liveries list.

I tried it today and there is one thing that bothers me. The G3X doesn't seem to "talk" with my PMS 50 GPS. Even the default CJ4's Proline avionics will "talk" to the PMS gps. The Garmin 1000's in the original G-111 would. As well as the GPS in the HU-16. I had to spend 20 plus minutes paging through various screens to try and input a flight plan, that on the PMS, takes me 2 minutes and maybe 3 on the default G3X in the TBM... Pain in the ....
