Gunsights

Hi Guys,

This has probably been asked before on numerous occasions, but how can I get rid of the HUD gunsight so that I can use the VC gunsight instead? For instance, on my favourite kite, the AH Hurricane, the guns are harmonised to use the VC gunsight, but the HUD gunsight is set high and is, therefore, useless. Is there a patch anywhere which can remove it?

The HUD gun sight only shows up in 2D view....not in VC view....or at least the HUD is not present in any of the VCs I have been flying in.

You can shift the HUD in the 2D panel to align it with your bullet stream.

Open the panel config and add this to the [VIEWS] section if it is not already there:

VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.5, 0.0, 0.0

By adjusting the first number up or down, you can change the view and get the HUD site to align with the bullet stream.
