gunsights

Something noticed for a while is many gunsights esp in non stock planes are not calibrated, makes targeting difficult.Has to do with the wide variety of panels, types of planes etc.I assume the "panel" cfg controls this but what would I need to do the fix the sighting, it's off on almost every plane i have, esp with the nice gunsights out there. Thanks in advance.

Hi dasuto247,

You are correct. It's in the panel.cfg.

Open it with notepad and near the top look for,

[VIEWS]
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.5, 0.0, 0.0

If it's not there just add it as above.
You can then start adjusting the number in red.

Adjust the 2.5 variable higher or lower in 0.5 increments to get the aiming point where you want it.
The position of the gunsight reticle itself won't change (stays in the default position), just the bullet stream.

It will take some trial and error.
