H/U for rotorheads

Hello,

Thank all for the information about H/U (heads-up)

Have a good day

Benoit

Wow! A question I can actually answer! H/U means "heads up" or
attention de salaire à ceci ! in French.

Whoops! Looks like I'm late in answering this.

Not a Sticky, then?

Not enough rotorheads around here...
Finally got round to this one, what a beauty!

Yes it floats, and the floats do pop out as advertised.
Only thing is, the autopilot is even more confusing than the last time I was confused by a helicopter autopilot!

The ICARO BK117 which I downloaded at the same time is slightly different again, but seems to work better.

Charl :salute: 'Wing_Z' :), this is the reason i still run FS9 , i simply want to play around with the amazing designs , well ... Artworks :engel016:

It's a brilliant work, and so is their BK117, which I'll start another thread for - this one is just full to the brim with all those HEADS-UPS! :d

Our local STARS air ambulance currently flies the BK-117 and will be switching to the AW139 next year so i will be getting alot of viewing time as the local trauma pad sits right off my backyard.
My only issue so far with the new model is that it burns fuel like a rocket ship and cant fly 20nm without running out of fuel.Other than that the AW139 is a top notch offering(and their BK117 too).

Now that you've hit the button... ;)

Just a couple of pics of ICARO's BK117:

Another beautiful helicopter from these guys :applause:
Only grouse is there are no pilot figures, hope they can do something there.
But it's a great flyer: I managed to get the autopilot to work...

Geez folks I'm sorry that I forgot to post the contact point update, I've just been getting hammered at work and come home worn out. If somebody else already did them that's great but you can try these for size. I only did the gear points for the base file and will check them out in the others today or tomorrow.
The floats seemed OK and the cluster of inactive scrape points that start with // I left alone. I think I kept that nice settling motion of the gear with just a bit of spring and based on videos sped up retraction motion a bit. Just copy and paste the section below after backing up what you have. Sound off if they are good and I'll make a proper zip file for uploading. I'm sending the same thing to ICARO.

aeromed202 your new CFG shows only 7 contact points were as the original has 17.Does this new CFG just use 7?or do we use the original 8-17 contacts? Oh and thanks :wavey:

FWIW...

I have no issues with contact points at all.
The helo sits nicely, and drops the gear as it rises, no problem!

EDIT: But did you notice how weird the shadow is?? ;)

Those other 17 preceeded by // are deactivated and are other scrape points. I don't know why they were provided that way and I did nothing with them. I indicated that to try the new points you should only copy and paste over the section I posted, leaving the // points as is. To activate those other points delete the // before each line. I'm still waiting to here what ICARO thought of what I did, I'll ask them about those // lines.

Wing, did you mean your model sat fine already, or that the update helped? I used a default airport for the adjustments.

Yeah sorry I should have been more clear: I have not had any problems with the original model.
Although I see there are entirely different model folders for the variations, and I don't have the Coast Guard, for example.
The ones I have pictured work just fine out of the box.

Sorry aeromed202 i didn't notice the // lines.I had a long day yesterday and was in a fog when i posted.Thanks again

No problems...then I went to Innsbruck and found the gear sagged through the concrete!
Applying your fix, fixed the problem, many thanks for your work Aeromed.

A beautiful model, still get intermittent issues with the autopilot unfortunately.
