Had dinner at a neat place.

Had dinner on Wednesday night in Milwaukee, WI right across from Mitchell Field.
From first glimpse from the road I thought it would be a greasy spoon but to my surprise it was a really nice place with really good food. Tons of aviation stuff from props to pictures to patches.
If any one's in the area, give it a try. It's right across from the freight area of the airport on the front road.

I haven't seen too many "greasy spoon" places with a neon "immediate seating" sign out front. :d Theme restaurants are fun, especially when the food is good. When I was stationed in San Diego years ago I often ate at Boom Trenchard's Flare Path, not far from Lindbergh Field. Named for Hugh "Boom" Trenchard, first Marshal of the RAF, the decor was all WWI/WWII RAF stuff with sandbags, camo netting, etc. Great menu and a nice view of the airport.
