While watching a Youtube video on the Battle of Britain, I came across this joke in the comments and it made my day.


"You know my grandfather was responsible for downing 35 German aircraft during WW II ....

Billy Bishop of Canada shot down 72 enemy aircraft during WWI. Later, his son served in the RCAF during WWII as a fighter pilot. When asked about this, or asked if it helped motivate him in his own efforts, his son would reply, "Absolutely. Between us Dad and I shot down 73 enemy aircraft."
