LOVE this scenery and it's a steal re the price ! :applause: Thanks for the HU, KC ! :salute:

Always loved Deane Baunton's Fletchers as well, freeware at its best ! Now he released the Fletcher's follow up, the PAC Cresco 750. A real freeware gem again and not to be missed if you want to enjoy the Hamilton scenery at its best. Here's a few screens :

( i wonder why a cheesehead from Holland has to share this info and not one of you Kiwi's.... Don't you simply LOVE that Cresco !??)

Btw, what would be the icing on the cake re this wonderful Hamilton scenery is a few AI Cresco's ( and/or Fletchers ) doing top dressing jobs. You know, coming in, taxi to the hopper, hopper loads the stuff, Cresco taxies back to the runway and takes off, returns 5 minutes later and there we go again... Just like we can see in the RW video's...

@Wantok : LOVE your sceneries too ! ( particularly Tuvalu !), same here, missing some interesting AI movements.... I mean, the sounds are great, the Dolphins and Orca's anims are great, some hard worked bush planes coming in for landing or taking off every now and then would make it all perfect !

I wonder why it is that we almost never see AI aircraft movements incorporated in these otherwise stunning scenery packages... Surely it can't be THAT hard to accomplish such a goal which will lively up an already beautiful airport scenery to great extend, can it ??....

Hopefully food for thought, gents !? :salute:

Cheers,
Jan

I guess we were really waiting for general release before making any announcements on the Cresco as its a limited release so far - wil be vailable on Avsim etc soon I think..the Cresco is brillant and one of the best freewares out there IMV

Hamilton wouldnt IIRC is not somewhere you would load fert and come back for another load etc. This is done on farm strips (we had one on our old farm years ago when they used Tiger Moths and Cessna 180s) which is closer to the action. Hamilton is the maintenance base for Super Air and where a few aircraft are kept before blasting off early in the morning to a fram strip for fert. Hamilton is also home to PAC the manufacturer of the Cresco (and Fletcher, Airtrainer and 750XL).

If you want some NZ GA AI which puts plenty of GA aircaft in Hamilton (and the whole of NZ), I suggest you download the GNZLAP package (and few others) from here:

Thse are FS9 packages but most of these work in FSX (with some prop mods), although you will need to delete the AFCADs. Also pays to have the HTAI Cessna package as well. Thre is a Fletcher package there which mainly works in its own farm strips but not sure how it would work with FSX - it would also depend on your NZ set up in terms of scenery. I belive somebody may be (or least thinking) about doing a FSX Cresco AI package.

For my airline traffic for NZ I use the ORBX/FTX airline package for Australasia.

If you havent got VLC (whole of NZ scenery improvement) this also works well with the Hamilton airport package.

Here's some pics of Hamilton Airport (and one of the Cresco)

Roger that of course. I just walked into a bunch of these furtilizer hoppers when i was 'Bobbing' around the airport and when i bumped into a couple Fletchers next i thought wouldn't it be great if both these hoppers and Flechters would come alive and start doing their job. We're entitled to a little ' artistic freedom' in our beloved virtual flying world, aren't we...

Actually I was hoping for this kind of info, many thanks !

I used to have a lot of NZ stuff in FS9, IMHO it's one of the most beautiful area's to fly in, but i've got a new monster machine ( Alienware Area51 ALX ) so i'm trying to set everything back up in FSX now.

Thanks again, Naki, just the info i was looking for ! :salute:

Cheers,
Jan
