Hand-Eye Coordination Exercise For Pilots

That was pretty cool. I kinda ruined the hand-eye coordination part, because the secret I found was to not move much at all. Find a corner, stay there until something comes your way, move to another....so on and on for about 30 seconds.

OK, your a stealthy pilot.

It's probably pure chance that I found that strategy. According to an old examiner around here, I'm one of those that "flies too much". I prefer to think that I'm only that way when flying aircraft with low wing-loading.

Hmm. I was watching one of those Discovery Channel airplane shows, and one pilot type being interviewed said “people sometimes say “wow, you’re a pilot, you must have good reflexes’”. I say “no, it’s not about reflexes, if you’re reacting to the plane, you’re already behind, you need to stay ahead of the plane, not react to it.” So, with that in mind, I think tigisfat is the best pilot who has yet played that game! :d

(Oh, 4.5 to 11 seconds)

True....but..... :icon_lol:

good reflexes and quick thinking can keep you alive until you become experienced enough to stay ahead of the airplane.

did you know that years ago the USAF considered 500 - 1000 hour pilots to be the most dangerous. Below 500 hours you know you are limited so you tend to pay attention and be cautious. After 1000 hrs, you have enough experience to know what you can and can not do. It is the 500 - 1000 pilot who thinks he is God's gift to aviation.
