HANDLEY PAGE HP-42

Great video! Thanks for posting! :ernaehrung004:

It's longer than I have time to watch all at once so I've been watching it in spurts. Last night it was getting late and I turned off the audio so as not to bother the neighbor in the next apartment, whose bedroom is on the other side of the wall from my desk, and turned on the captions. I got a lot of chuckles from that. While the voice-over guy's accent shows that he is obviously English, whoever did the captions obviously is not, doesn't know English very well, and their total lack of knowledge of English place names, as well as the English words for foreign place names and aviation terminology is downright comical, so much so that I left the captions on when I turned on the audio this morning.

I'm thoroughly enjoying those old Golden Age airliners. I wish I had time to watch the whole thing all at once.

Very nice, indeed! There are various touched up videos that give some new life to the vintage era. I don't think the props were actually gray, but I could be wrong.

The starter motor is interesting since it's that compartment next to the lower wing on the left side. Would be interesting to see how that could be replicated in a panel update.

Wonderful screenshots of Derek's HP-42 as well. What airport(s) is/are that?

Saludos!

I don't think so either. I'll bet they were silver and turned out gray when the film was colorized. They did a good job otherwise.
