"Happy" Friday the 13th ...

I've always had pretty good luck on Friday the 13ths. I look forward to them.

Today was the start of my four -week summer holiday, and the day of the release of Iron Maiden's latest album! Not bad for a Friday 13th!

mine got off to a cracking start .... someones pc died on me .... then my shopping bag split as i came home ... and it was raining to boot :crybaby:

I KNEW there was a reason my day has gone so badly. Things going wrong, one after another. First my clothes dryer quit working again (has been intermittent), and now my downstairs central aircon unit has quit working.... again.

Thankfully I have a window unit downstairs, and the sun is so hot, my clothes are drying, but geez!!!

I am headed up to South Fulton, Tn this weekend to get my computer rebuilt. I hope today is not an omen of bad things to come!!!

My day was good. The weather was good enough for a cross country flight. In the rainy season that counts for special.

stiz? Will you forgive me if I tell you that your post made me laugh?

I could just picture it, your bags splitting up while it was pouring....it's just like when you see someone slip and fall, your first instinct is to laugh, your second is to make sure they are ok?

I'm sorry but I laughed!

Then you blew off that whole "making sure they are OK" bit... :d

Stiz - are you OK?

First, I'll say, I am not superstious nor do I believe in this stuff with regards to the 13th coming on a Friday. Pretty humours how other people think about this though! ;)

With regard to laughing when something "bad" happens to someone, yeah I think that's part of the human beast ... we derive pleasure from other people suffering from pain inflicted upon themselves.

I admit Stiz, I too chuckled at your post, and for your sake I hope you weren't just being "cute" by telling us a fib ... If all those things happened to you for true, then I am truly sorry for you and hope you're well ... but if you're not being as honest as you could be ... just know that you brightened my day a little bit by having a good laugh at your expense.

WRT C9G ... Shame on you for slipping on that one. ;) LOL!

I was slightly hungover this morning.

Damn you, Friday 13th...lol

Boy, 13, hit by lightning on Friday 13th at 13.13pm in UK

Unlucky youngster was treated for burns to his shoulder by St John Ambulance staff and should make a full recovery

<STYLE>.related-content-container a{font-size: 11px;}</STYLE>The Mirror
SUFFOLK, England — Friday the 13th was really unlucky for a boy of 13 yesterday when he was struck by lightning - at 1.13pm, or 13.13.
The lad was among 150,000 people at an airshow in Lowestoft, Suffolk when the bolt hit.
He was treated for burns to his shoulder by St John Ambulance staff and should make a full recovery.
Rex Clarke, St John team leader, said: "Suddenly there was this huge crack of lightning really close to the seafront and really loud thunder.
"Seconds later we got a call someone had been hit. The boy was breathing and was conscious.
"He had a minor burn to his shoulder and was taken to hospital as a precaution. It could have been a lot worse.
"It's all a bit strange that he was 13, and it happened at 13:13 on Friday 13."
Spectator Jordan Gissing, 16, and a woman standing close to the boy were also treated for minor injuries following the strike.
Jordan threw his umbrella to the ground as he saw a spark on his hand as the lightning struck.
He added: "We were just watching the Red Arrows go past and there was a flash of lightning. I couldn't speak. I was in shock."

Now if he was taken to ER bed 13 now that would make me suspicious.
