Happy Liberation Day to our Dutch friends

Well what the title says. I happen to be in Amsterdam these days and had a great time today around the canals. At the same time though I can not miss to remember the hardships the Dutch people had to endure during the dark years of the occupation and the their tough resistance to tyranny. Again, happy Liberation Day my friends!

Dimus, independent from whom? Or what? From the Spanish? That's almost 400 years ago :biggrin-new:.

Enjoy your stay!

Changed wording to "Liberation Day" hertzie, you're right.👍

Can't seem to be able to change the thread title though.

Dimus,

Thank you it was a lovely day with beautiful weather. I hope you enjoy my country, I sure enjoyed yours several times.

I took care of the title.

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks Huub!

I travel often to Rotterdam for work. This time it was a family trip to visit my cousin who is studying in Leyden. We enjoyed beautiful weather all week long. I very much enjoy your country and the Dutch spirit.

Leiden is very close to were I live. People from Leiden go to the beach in the place I live as it is just a 15 minutes drive.
Its nice to live at the coast, but in times like this its a tiny bit too crowded......

Cheers,
Huub
