Even if I am not here very often lately, due to my very busy life these days, I do not forget my good friends here at SOH....:wiggle:

Thanks KH! :) And may I say I'm thankful for all the good folks I have had contact with here at SOH.

Thanksgiving

Still a week or so away, but I've got a pheasant hunt planned a few days before so that we'll have baked pheasant for our "turkey day" meal.

Yummm. Pheasant, wild rice, cranberries, yams, stuffing, freshly baked bread and whatever else the girls come up with in the kitchen.

Glad to hear from you Keltic....good to know that you are alive and well.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

The family had its Thanksgiving get together on the 1st while Donnie, my nephew, was in from Iraq....the food was amazing, having Deb there was amazing, spending time with family was amazing.

Tomorrow evening, the Nursing Home/Rehab Center that Deb is in will be having Thanksgiving Dinner for family members to be able to come in and celebrate with the residents. Deb has reservations made for 8 of us to attend....I hope I am one of them LOL. She is all excited about having turkey and ham again, along with mashed taters, stuffing, deviled eggs, and all the trimmings. She told me to come hungry as the kitchen staff is prepared to fill us to our gills.

And if that is not enough, on Thanksgiving Day itself....I am taking pizza in for Deb and I to have our own quiet little celebration and to reflect on all the many things that we have to be thankful for...such as her continuing recovery and progress. If all goes well, we will celebrate Christmas here at home!
