Good afternoon,

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I will be spending it at home, with my family and extended family. Very thankful to play host to everyone this year...been cooking the last two days since I've been getting over the flu...including pies!
 
It's a different kind of Thanksgiving for me this year. The warm weather in here in Hawaii doesn't feel like it should be Thanksgiving and of course the local history has no relationship with mainland Pilgrim history. Plus for the first time in a long time, I'm not doing all of the cooking and no family members will be present.

But we're joining good friends and I will still be making my grandmother's wonderful caramelized sweet potatoes recipe for everyone to enjoy. Most importantly as highpockets says, it's a day to give thanks and I have many to give.

Here's hoping you all, including our non-USA family, have much to give thanks for whether you are celebrating an American Thanksgiving or not.
