:USA-flag:Good morning from Europe and Happy Veterans' Day to all who sacrificed a portion of your lives to the cause of freedom.

And a solumn salute to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the cause of freedom.
You are not forgotten, and many of us appreciate that commitment to liberty for others.

My best wishes to all of our veterans: US, NATO, SEATO or Commonwealth. Whether in war, in peace or in-between, you've manned the thin red line and kept the wolves at bay.

On the wall of one of the buildings in my basic training area many years ago was this:

"For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know."
