but could someone show me some shots of Lukla? before i stopped flight simming, that was something i did alot of..DO228 and DHC6 in and out of lukla and Kathmandu

Here are some quick captures. It is one of the hand-crafted airports, filled with details, and one of the great many mountain airports/"altiports" throughout the sim, all with sloped runways (if they are in reality).

A couple more sloping runway mountain airports near Courchevel (if interested).

LFIP Balestas:

LFMB Castillon de la LaQuette (yes, it is in the GPS/Nav Map):

A nice relatively short flight is between Courcheval and Megeve (another heavily sloped runway), just a couple of valleys away, or go the other way around. Megeve airport is one place I've been to in real life, and even though the sim airport isn't as nice as Courcheval, the sim does make it pretty true to life.

I'm guessing Coucheval is the same, but at Megeve you can sit at a picnic table at the rear edge of the ramp up top, and when the aircraft go to take off you see them move forward then suddenly tip nose down, tail in the air, and then disappear down the runway out of sight. The next time you see them after take off they're flying, at a lower altitude than you, headed off down the valley. Never got tired of watching that. You wouldn't see landing aircraft (lots of trees) but you'd hear them coming up the runway, and then they'd pop over the top onto level ground.

Thank you Mike for the suggestion about Megeve (I figured I'd likely overlook a good one :) ). I will have to check that out in the sim too.
