Hawker Sea Hawk

The plane is amazingly detailed....a real work of art. And it's hard to believe that this is his FIRST go at modeling a FS aircraft. I hope that when I get around to jumping into Gmax that my first attempt is even 1/3 as nice.

The Seahawk is Steven Beeny's first model, although he was involved in the Wyvern, someone else built it. Reminds me, I need to get that beautifully ugle girl into FSX to try her out.

Hello chaps,

this was indeed my first model, being a repainter first and foremost. JDTinballs is right, I hosted the Wyvern on my site but my colleagues Skippy Bing, Rich Ruscoe and Sketchy74 were fully responsible for that project.

As for the Canberra, I have painted up a shedload of them, but those were the Bill Holker and Paul Foster models (which, I shall gleefully be returning to, now that the Sea Hawk project is finished!!!).

Thanks for the kind words though, its nice to know you weren't too far off the mark for a first outing. I have to admit, when I saw some screens of Rick Piper's new BAe Hawk, I knew I'd have to get my detail levels up.

p.s., if you chaps want to convert this to CFS2, please have it, I am an old fan of the game, and would dearly love to see it done.

ATB,

Steve

Will download the Sea Hawk and add it to my pile of conversion projects....unless someone beats me to it (like rmalone). It is such a good looking plane...as most British designs were...and I look forward to flying it in CFS2 and FS2004 (which I just ordered).

I hope to get back to learning Gmax soon...boy that is one tough program to learn...and begin producing aircraft models myself. If my first attempt is 1/3 as good as your Sea Hawk, I will be pleased as punch (whatever that means).

"...I will be pleased as punch (whatever that means)..."

A punch to the face? That may not be pleasing... the drink isn't very good, either...

But she looks like a jolly little ride! Looking forward to seeing her come over to our side! :ernae:
