While we are into the cold war big piston engine aircrafts, this is a conversion of the beautiful FS9 Tempest II by Barry and Hanvey. It has maybe been done before, but this package comes from the latest version (I think) and with two new textures + some goodies by Kelticheart. Perhaps not a model to fill the sky with in CFS2, but looks terrific as a player AC.

Hmmm they look great !.

Has anyone ever done a 'what if' skin for a Tempest II that might have accompanied Tiger Force in late '45, had it been needed ? I rather fancy escorting some white Lancs over the Japanese home islands, and the Tempest would be the mount of choice.

Morton - the TII looks superb!! Not that I expected otherwise, of course.

Two wee things:

1) If I get shot down, or choose to "esc" from combat, I get a CTD
2) There appear to be two gunsight aiming points/reticles. The gunfire, however, converges at a point in between.

Anyone have any comments/feedback?

Love the repaints AND the exhaust effects - fantastic!!! :applause:

DL,

Look for a little cross in the reticle. It is the actual aiming point and your bullet stream should intercect it. I can't confirm it right now, but I'd bet a donut against a dime that this is the case with this panel.

I believe this is a needed compromise when adapting an FS 9 panel to CFS 2 and it is common in many converted panels. Once you see it, you'll be an ace once again.
