Just got a message my new planes will be arriving soon at home.A restored Spitfire MkIX and a P-40N with RAAF markings.I bought both when I was in Australia but didn't expect them until August.I also have a full size Fokker Dr1 being built, the 1 I have is 3/4 size.

Should be home on July 2.

There are quite several -N that are still airworthy or are/were under restoration. Maybe SPman wanted to know which one you purchased. ;)
I clearly stated they were restored which means flyable.I wouldn't buy one I couldn't fly.You should also learn to read what is said.LOL

You might also want to learn to understand what people are saying...

You purchased an airworthy P-40N. Great. The question was: which one?

Here is a list of airworthy P-40N (per Wikipedia):
- 42-104687/VH-ZOC - owned by Arthur Pipe & Steel Australia PTY LTD in East Albury, New South Wales. Was NZ3125 in RNZAF service.
- 42-105915 - Christian Amara/SDPA in La Ferté-Alais, France
- 42-104730/A29-448 - Warbird Adventure Rides Ltd in Auckland as ZK-CAG.
- 42-104827 - privately owned in Huntington, Indiana.
- 42-104977 - privately owned in Winter Park, Florida.
- 42-105120 - privately owned in Okeechobee, Florida.
- 42-105192 - based at Planes of Fame in Chino, California.
- 42-105306 - based at North Bay Air Museum in Sonoma, California.
- 42-105861 - privately owned in Clarkston, Washington.
- 42-105867 - based at Commemorative Air Force (P-40 Sponsor Group) in Fredericksburg, Texas.
- 42-106396 - based at Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho.
- 44-7084 - based at Palm Springs Air Museum in Palm Springs, California.
- 44-7369 - based at Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, Texas. Removed from public display when the museum indefinitely closed on 1 January 2024. To be moved to North Texas Regional Airport in Denison, Texas.

Since you bought her in Australia, I assume it may be the first one (42-104687/VH-ZOC), but it could be another one.

Or maybe the one you bought has been restored recently and is still listed as "under restoration" in this list:
- 42-104954 - under restoration by Edwin Sedgman in Melbourne, Victoria.
- 42-104728 (RAAF serial A29-446) - under restoration by Keith W. Hopper in Wangaratta, Victoria.
- 42-105472 - under restoration by Bruno Carnival in Melbourne, Victoria.
- 42-105513 - under restoration by Ian Whitney Romsey, Victoria.

So, the question is still: which P-40N did you purchased?

None of any you listed. There are a lot in Australia but not air worthy. Not all are listed in wikipedia,as a matter a fact I don't use Wiki very much because their info is incomplete many times.

Yes I bought it in Australia but it was actually restored in New Zealand. It was found in the jungle 1970 and was part of the RAAF 75th.

From now on I will only be talking about the flight sim and no more about history or anything else. That has be made clear this is just for the flight sim.

If you fear some people might be offended by you posting in this CFS2 section, don't hesitate to post in the main "Ickie's NewsHawks" section.

This is the place we talk about real-world aviation.

You may also post in the "Historical Wings Society" section.

This section is dedicated to real-world aviation history discussions.

BTW, we are eager to see pictures of your new toys. Always cool to see more classic warbirds flying!
