Hehehe...P3 really did arrive this morning!

Got mine installed, (take out your CFS3 disk first by the way) and am taking this time (a great sacrifice) to tell all this is great. Not the same game, you will see what I mean.

Thanks OFF team you done good.

Good stuff Burningbeard first one to report it installed and good :) Let us know more when you have seen more ;)

Fine work there theseeker should run OFF rather well methinks ;)

I just ordered mine last night (Saturday 17th Aust time).........I wonder what the wait will be to OZ...........Anybody got it yet in Australia???

***I wonder what happened to my other posts???***

Now I really hate Yankees :costumes:.

So you guys got P3 on Saturday...which means that Saturday is considered a working day...therefore, if I placed my order on 21:30 (Athens time) with the game being available on like 21:00, it means that P3 was shipped to me on Thursday. It seems that they are fast in delivery time so 4 working days are...well it is going to arrive on 19-21 of January for me! BUT if they are counting the days from the time you actually placed the order, it means that P3 may even arrive on Monday here!
BUT if the cargo pilot has trouble with his bladder or something and he doesnt leave USA on time, OR if a formation of ducks get sucked by the engine (it seems that USA is full of these critters these days :faint:) it means that the plane is gonna crash/crash land. So I am going to lose the order or it will get reaaalllyy delayed. I give about 30% possibility percentage of these 2 bad things to happen. Now regarding the storms over the Atlantic, and regarding that the flapping of a butterfly's wings in China may cause a tornado in any place in the world..maybe there are even more delays! What if the fuel of the airplane is not good and the engine dies? What if they misplaced the package somewhere? What if...what if....what if...oooohhhh :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

Now I need my pills for the stress..with some whiskey or something. :friday: :faint:
Something really bad is going to happen to my order!! :help:
No I am not being paranoic...maybe you are.

Just notified that mine will ship on Monday. I am actually happy as my system is undergoing a big re-do! Check here for progress http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=213829

Enjoy!

Jeeze man... what the hell are you building??? I've seen less sheetmetal work on damaged Airplanes!

What's the plan for cooling, a blower?

Keep us posted, it looks cool so far, whatever monster truck ... er.. PC you are building. :)

All the best,

OvS

Some more observations.....

You can now configure off from the workshop (frankly dont know if you could do this before) but at least now you dont have to have a separate config shortcut on your desktop.

Quick combat is different, you use an OFF menu and dont have the scene with the pilot standing by the crates, this does not allow you to change armies on the fly or display options like you could before (see above). Not a bad thing, just different.

The flight models are different and it is way easy to get into a fatal side slip. The speeds seem more realistic, and the AI is deadly. This is all good, but will take some getting used to.

The graphics are superb (but we knew they would be) but they take more computer to run them. These are by far the best graphics I have seen in a game. I'm running a 2.13 gig dual core, 4 gigs of ram (more than the computer will actually use) with an 8800 GT (512) Nvidia card resolution set to 1680 x 1050. My sliders are 5-5-3-3-5-1, and I really slow down over airfields. By the way I love the reflection on the gauges in the Roland. Everything is very crisp.

I did not have to import my joystick settings, they were all there from the previous install (a very big plus).

If you die in quick combat you cannot fly that pilot again like you could before (what I mean is before the pilot was dead when you exited Quick Combat, but until you exited you could continue to fly different scenarios). Did I mention the AI are deadly....

Pilot enlistment shows you the location on the map and year of the squad you are entering (big plus)

The skins are great!!!!!

Did I mention the AI are deadly?

Hmmm- unless you are stalling, you should be able to level out by aileron
deployment.

Come on, Mr Postman :)

What are your anti-aliasing settings at? I have a similar setup in laptop form (Sager NP8660). While on that same topic and without me testing it, do the anti-aliasing settings "stick" when you set them in P2? I seem to turn them on and re-check only to find them set to "none" again.....

K my little thread hi-jack is overwith!

Great. I received an email today telling me that P3 is now available for purchase. I followed the link and paid with PayPal. Now I have an email saying that my order is currently under evaluation by Avangate antifraud specialists!!!

I'm an Aussie expat in Saudi Arabia and because the local mail system is crap, I have a shipping address in New York. Never ever had a problem before, paid for a gazillion things off eBay etc...

How come the Bloody Yanks are getting them first?!...... After all, they were late for the real dogfighting!:gossip:

aarg maybe the various addresses confused things ;) , hope it goes OK - probably best give them a call or email them desertguy

Hey, DESERTGUY
There, there - an Aussie expat in Saudi Arabia, with a shipping address in New York, ordering English, French and German military aircraft - what did you expect to happen? Give them time to find out, that the planes are not, what modern troublemakers would use.
Cheers;

Olham

No need to worry about this Danny. It's a cfs3 thing I guess. It sets the AA correctly but always indicates "none" when rechecking. Or you could set up AA from your vid card and over-ride cfs3config AA.

Excellent, thanks Catch! Never thought of the Nvidia-forced AA either!
