Heinz Knoke diaries "I Flew for the Fuhrer" visualized

Hey folks
While looking at BF-109 videos on youtube, I found this video done by a fellow using IL2 spliced with live acting and voice, read from Heinz Knoke's book. This video is really well done and well researched by it's author, biltongbru. Interesting perspective from a Luftwaffe pilot's point of view.

PART 2

What a great video! You really don't see things like this on Dogfights on the History Channel.

Thanks for posting it Pilottj

Thanx..great technology here....yet somewhat painful to look at....terrible memories then,!....For the war the 8th AF lost about 2000 heavy bombers - each with a ten man crew. Not all were killed of course - some bailed out. It was the for many!,it was Stalag life for the duration of the War

But war is hell they say!.....However this hints at what a raid may have looked like, and has historic value!..Thanx Again!!!!..Vin

My dad was a top turret gunner on a 15th AF B-24 and was shot down over Vienna, Oct. 13,1944. It was his 14th mission and he admitted that he felt secretly glad, and at the same time guilty for being glad, to have survived as a POW because he had exceeded the estimated 15th AF crew lifespan of 10 missions in 1944. . .
