• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Now that I have a new video card and can run CFS2 again...

Could anyone recommend a decent helicopter (preferably with dynamic virtual cockpit) for use in CFS2, suitable for SAR? I'm a fair hand with mdl conversions from FS2002 and FS2004, so I'm not intimidated by a conversion project.

Baldy did up a number of helos for CFS2, and they are in the download library here.

Alpha Sim did up a pretty nice Huey for CFS2. Not sure where you can find it now days....I think it might be in the library under AlphaOldies. If you can't find it, shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I will zip up a copy of it and send it to you.

There are some more helos on Simviation.com for CFS2.

Thanks, Obio. I bet I already have that ALPHA Huey on disc. I used to see real ones every day when I was a little boy going to and fro from the airbase.

Jaxon uploaded a nice conversion of Deane Baunten's FS 9 UH-1H Huey.

As noted above, Baldy has made several nice helos for us. Lots to choose from and many of them also make great AI choppers or static ifrastructure.

They should all be in the library here. Use the author's name search option to find them.
