Okay I need some HELP.. like there is anything new in this..

I know where the 33rd fighter group was based during early 43' with the Tuskegee men..
But I can't find out which of three airbases the Tuskegee Airmen were at..
Everything I have found just says they were in North Africa.. I KNOW THIS!!!

I know the 33rd was at: Menzel Temime Tunisia 20 may 43
Ebbakksour, Tunisia 12 apr. 43
Sousse, Tunisia 9 june 43

Lt Hall shot down a Fw 190... 2 july 43..(first for the unit)
going to Castelventreno, italy escorting b-25's..

But where was he flying from.. No where has any info on this, I can find..

Infact it seems everything possible has been done to keep the time prior to the Red Tailed Devils stuff, under wraps..
I realize they flew mainly ground support missions in 43'..
But I can't even find the location where they were, when they got their first victory..
BUMMER..:jawdrop:

About ready to give up here!!!!!:banghead:

I hate research!!! :icon31:

I hate Historical Missions!!!:tgun2:

I feel better now..:)

Thanks Talon,
it isn't even listed in any of the 67 sites I have been reading..

Okay where is Tunisia??
No I can find that, I hope.. :icon_lol:

:running: Somewhere "over there" Right..

I should have stayed in the The Shire..:icon_lol:

Owen,

Hall's flight was from El Haouaria.

They were based at Oued Nja from April - May 1943 for training on P-40L's.

Fardjouna May - June 1943

El Haouaria June 1943 - ?

Then it gets hard to follow . . . but they were briefly at Licata, Termini and Barcelona while assigned to the 33rd.
