Help Please

[Flying Buckeye]

My copy of Combat Flight Simulator 2 isn't working for me. I haven't played it in over a year and I haven't played it much on the computer I am using so I don't know if my PC is the problem. When I load the game I just get a black screen. I have waited at least five minutes, but nothing happens. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I have already tried reinstalling.

When I minimize the game I get a quick glimpse of the main menu screen.

I'm using Windows XP Media Edition.

A bit more info on your system might make it easier to point you toward a fix:

What video card are you running? What driver for that card?

Do you have DXT9.0 installed?

What is your monitor resolution set at?

My card is a GeForce 8600 GTS. I have directx 9.0c. I'm not sure where to find my driver info. My monitor is at 1152 x 864.

OK I fixed it. I went into the nvidia control panel and changed the video quality setting to let the 3D application decid the video quality.
