• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Help Sim Outhouse in 2014

You don't have to register a Paypal account, not even in France. ;-) But maybe you have to change the language setting of Paypal. My French customers pay by credit card through Paypal without having to open an account.

I know that Francois, and as I wrote in the other thread, I have successfully used Paypal without registering in the past, to buy FSX addons.
However, in the recent days, when reaching the Paypal page for France, the option to pay as guest was not there.
In the list of mandatory fields, you had to specify all of your personnal details and choose a password for account creation.
So either you already had an account and you could log in, or you had to create one. The option to pay without creating an account was not offered.

That being said, after trying once more today, the fields for account creation were not there anymore for the French page. Which means I could make a donation without registering :jump:

I don't know what happened. Perhaps the Paypal guys made some mistake in the website configuration or something like that. Or perhaps it's something with the proxies I'm using at work. I'm currently going through an American proxy, so perhaps Paypal reacted on that...

I don't think that is exclusive to France. Years ago before I got an account they would let you use the system a few times without registering before they would force you to create an account.
