Help with EFFECTS.

OK everyone. I know that this has been answered before, but I was unable to find the original post.
So here it is again.....
I have a couple of problems with effects.
I get black squares for dirt with some aircraft and Helicopters, I also get the same thing for water effects in some aircraft.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks
Craig.

Black squares usually mean that FSX can see the effect but cannot see the textures needed to display them.
You need to check the integrity of your effects\texture folder and possibly re-install some of the effects textures
for the aircraft in question.
Regards,
Nick

Thanks nick....I'll check them out....

Hi,
Here's the effect recovery file: gauges_recovery_fsx.zip (misleading name).
It's available at Flightsim.com

Yes, though there is another opportunity. Personally, those clumps of snow are unattractive as are the clumps of dirt, etc. Snow/dirt dust are fine but the clumps are now thankfully history & are removed from my sim, a nifty group of utilities available over at OzX:

Great bunch of simmers over there as well. :)
