• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Had a virus couldnt start windows anyways... was able to copy all my flight sim aircraft and save them. Reloaded Flight Sim and the saved files, but now alot of my textures are just black. any ideas?
 
I'm guessing here but there might (emphasize MIGHT) be a procedure to turn all color pixels in a .bmp or .dds file to all black by turning a "switch" (e.g. changing the state of a control digit) within the file. You would have to find someone more
knowledgeable than myself about this possibility.

If you're lucky, something like this can be reversed. If you're not, you've got some re-installing to do. I wish you luck.
 
FS has lost, or lost track of, the textures. I'm afraid you have a lot of reinstalling to do. Bummer.
 
Deleted Flight Sim and reinstalled everything again and the DX10 box was now present and made sure it was unchecked. Seems like its been fixed. Thanks for the comments!
