Here are two pics of the Henderson Field scenery I have done. The 1st is set in Aug 1942 and the other in Sept of 42.Even though fighter 1 and 2 were not open in Aug of that year I included them in the pictures. The two fighter strips are seperate so that they can be added as needed. The way I worked the textures for Henderson Main is to just switch the textures out in the cactus folders as needed. It took about a week and a half to come up with a tree pattern that looked passable so tell me what you think.

Bob,

Looking good! What mesh and coastlines are they based on, stock?

Bob,

Lookin' good!

While I've never been to the Solomons, I've spent time in the New Hebride (Vanuatu) Islands, the next island chain to the Southeast. Your scenery looks spot on for those islands, so I'm sure that it's "as real as it gets" in CFS 2 for Henderson.

Rami I am using stock scenery with pacific textures but I am not sure what water textures I am using I think pacific blue.I am also sticking to stock infrastructure accept for the trees.I am going to have to check thoes out before I upload the scenery.I also did the Tulagi area pics to follow.

Jag, thanks ,I worked on the tree pattern for about a week. I wanted to add more trees but my frame rates started to drop below 20fps.I am still running win98se on an 8 year old pc.

I am still having problems lining up where water should be, beach coast, jungle etc., does not synchronize. Maybe you could post your scenery.cfg list, to give me a clue of what file scenery library you use? thx in advance! :running:

wonderful bob, i hope you release this and your Midway soon, i am eager to see them. Thank you so much for making this effort, it really does look great.

Thanks everyone, well I have just started on the Sept. missions. I am doing the intercept missions flown by VMF223,VMF224,and VF5.The main mission for the F4Fs was to protect Henderson Field from the enemy bombers that came in around noon almost everyday and from the same direction,up the slot.
