Captain Kurt submitted a new resource: TEMPORARILY WITHDRAWN TO REWORK THE AIR FILES PER THE REPORTS BELOW

Henschel Hs 126A-1 - Henschel Hs 126A-1

Henschel Hs 126A-1

Unit: 1.(H)13, location unknown, 1942
Pilot: unknown

The Henschel Hs 126 was a Luftwaffe two-seat parasol wing reconnaissance and observation aircraft designed and produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Henschel. By 1939, it had become the principal short-range reconnaissance aircraft of the Luftwaffe.

The pilot was seated under the parasol wing and the observer in an open rear cockpit. In the autumn of 1936, the first prototype made its maiden flight; it was...

Captain, thank you for building such a wonderful and overlooked aircraft. It certainly is a treat. Now I'm having an issue that whenever I kick the engine over, well it takes the aircraft over, and it turns in to a smoldering wreck on the runway. How can I fix this? When I take it up by 3000ft for an air start, it is an interesting little ship. Twitchy as all get out with a negative-g cut out on the Bramo. Certainly no fuel injection going on there...

Folks, don't forget to grab Lawdog's Bramo 323 sounds. The pack certainly fits this ship.

Nope, just a gravity fed carb. Start with the throttle at 10% and increase gradually as you roll out. Works fine for me but how about any others having the same problem?

I wonder what I’m doing wrong. Every time I kick the engine on, with the throttle closed, it rolls from right to left and just crumples.

I notice the behavior on Andrew’s Spitfire as well, but with that ship it quick settles back on the landing gear.

Kurt, first of all, thank you very much for this beautiful airplane!

Unfortunately I have the same problem as Browncoat. When I start the engine the plane tilts to the left.

When I add power and try to taxi forward, the left roll continues until the plane destroys itself. Also, when I shut down the engine again in this situation an then restart it, another tilt to the left occurs, and again, if I try to move it rolls over.

One more small thing, the 2D panel looks like it is made for widscreen monitors. I still use the old format. Would it be very difficult to add a panel bitmap that fits the standard screen dimensions?

Okay, I don't get any of that on my setup but we can't have that happening. I'm going to withdraw the download and make a new set of air files before posting it again.

Regarding the panel, it would be easy enough to make a new bitmap size but all of the instruments would have to be replaced as well so they would fit the new format. Lets get the air files right first.

Hi guys,

Please test these flight files, see if the issues have been fixed and let me know the results.

Cheers
