Bonjour Francois! I wish I had known you were looking for colour photos of the FS, my cousin Heinrich flew them in the WWII in Germany, he was Gen Student's personal pilot and among his exploits about which he was always very modest....he flew Mussolini out of Italy in the rescue called Operation Eiche....

here are a couple of colour photos from that trip of the tail of an FS...

links about that mission....the plane barely made it off the plateau, because Otto Skorzeny insisted on grabbing the limelight and forced himself into the FS which as you know is a 2 person plane....

the photos i have seen of your plane look wonderful, i look forward to trying it when i can...

Heinrich loved flying the "drachen" (kite) as he called the FS...he said it was more like playing than work to fly it. thanks for helping preserve the history.

One final question, i read your initial post and appreciate the law in German concerning certain historic insignia, but I hope there is a skin option for us elsewhere to be able to achieve accuracy? I certainly do not sympathize with the politics or actions of that era by some in Germany but history is history, and I like to respect that when possible when studying it with the sims out of respect to those who dedicated their service to their duty....I know my cousin did not like the Nazi extremes but he did his duty to the best of his ability in all ways...

my own father was at D Day on the allied side, and an uncle flew with the Black Sheep in the slot off Guadalcanal, all did their duty and it is an honour to be able to respect that with this remarkable sim.

Hi Cris ! Awesome ! Thank you for that information!

Please email me at francois at fsaddon dot eu !

And yes, Simon will upload the original livery again (we started out with the correct livery of course ;-) ), and I will make it available via our website.

I am also working on a website about historic aviation around our models (for now the Lysander, Storch and Hudson).

Many thanks for your info !!

Great news about the historic site, that sounds excellent. Those are fine machines you have created excellent models for. And that is great news re the original skin, glad to hear that, it honours the history and heritage.

e mail sent.

I must say Francois that when anyone gets any of your firm's creations they can be sure they are getting some of the very best work done for FSX, superb craftsmanship, total accuracy and really they are works of art. thanks again :) :medals:

Finish is closer and closer. Now my favorite shadowing and weathering and it will be finished. I created too alpha channel for this skin.
