how on earth do you get the moon that big? :isadizzy:

Well, we don't really know for sure. The moon was created approximately 4.5 Billion years ago, is approximately 1/4 the size of the earth, and there are several theories proposed for how it was created....incidentally, it's the largest moon in the solar system in relation to the size of it's "host" planet.

....I'm sorry Stiz, I couldn't resist........:jump:

Ha ha,
Stiz to get the moon big press + until you're there. Then to make the plane small Ctrl/+ until the plane's as small as you need.:santahat:

Nice Cessna livery, where do you get it and what model is it for?

Thanks for the HU....I was just going to look for a better moon this morning too.

It's also available on AVSIM for those of us that have trouble logging into Flightsim. Just do a search in the library for:

fsx_hd_moon_texture_v2_0.zip

Just a quick and dirty to compare the default FSX textures vs the new 1024 HD textures....

Kinda OT, but everyone here knows that the Moon is ALWAYS the same angular size, no matter that it LOOKS larger when near the horizon, right?

That's correct! And if you "measure" it across it is only about 6mm wide (your little pinky should cover it!), but it always looks larger when near to the horizon or a building or tree.
