I like that Victorian (is that Gothic ?) style house..
There is a neo-gothic church downtown where I live that certainly falls into the "menacing" category. It was built in the 70's if I remember correctly.:mixedsmi:Looks victorian, gothic looks way more menacing and incorporates a lot more sharp edges.
See Notre Dame for example.
I would be surprised to see a true, old gothic building in the USA. After all, it was more of a very old european thing.
