• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

... but I wouldn't let her into my bed.

Why the hell would you even make this comment when the whole of the post was not about that but rather about a sports individual and her achievements.

Good god man. :173go1:

None of the ones I knew when I was 20ish were.:kilroy:

I apparently know the wrong ones. *Scratches chin*

C'mon, dude. Jokes about the opposing sex are always fair game, but can't we show a little more respect for women of achievement than publically and immediately going straight to judging whether we'd do them or not? I'll bet if someone started a thread about Amelia Earhart there wouldn't be a first reply post about how 'do-able' she was. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bent out of shape or getting finicky, I just think we can do better than that.

Maybe I'm used to sportswomen who are easier on the eyes. Or had a temporary slip-of-tongue. Or just commented because I had zilch idea of the kind of sports she practices, so I concentrated on her appearance instead.

And if you can comment on the "hotness" of celebrities (people of achievement as well since they're well known), why can't you do the same for other people of achievement?

Bjoern, you need to get out more buddy :icon_lol:

I'm getting out often enough, I think. But my city is nothing more than a big village (50k inhabitants) with the corresponding mentality.

i know a fair few German girls from erm 'holidays' with the lads, and they weren't shy, then again we did make a point of starting the conversations, girls are usually shy if you yourself are shy...

You had the "foreign guys" bonus. ;)

The english/foreign girls living in/visiting my parents' city are usually way more open for at least a good conversation.

just go up, and ask what they're drinking, and order 2, pass 1 to the girl, and get chattin, if talk don't work booze will :kilroy:

Won't work if you are german yourself. :/

As for my bowling performance: No comment. :icon_lol:
