Hi Paul.....small world. I flew into Kaug many times and also Norrridgewock!

p.s. KLEW (ORBX) is just across the river in Auburn. Falcon409 did an excellent airfield (3B5)....hard and dirt strip + float base!

KAUG, the site of my first airplane ride. Must have been 1975-ish. When I joined the navy, I would return home on leave on those Air New England DCH-6 Twin Otters, from Boston to Augusta and back again. Loved riding in those Twin Otters, while they lasted, but even Air New England went bust not long after I joined the navy. Then it was Beech-99s from whatever airline still flew into KAUG. When I was a wee lad our house was on Sand Hill, just a couple miles from the end of runway 26. When planes would land on that runway they would pass pretty low over our house. Great memories.
