yesterday morning around 9:47,sacramento city fire got a call for a major gas leak at a home,they responded and first engine in shut off the gas and power and started to make entry and the house exploded,at first the pictures didnt look bad as the front wall was standing and the roof seemed intact..but it blew the rear of the house apart..its probably what saved thier lives....the four FFs were takn to the hosepital where one was treated and reliesed and the other three were kept over night after being transfered to a burn center.

Wow, I'm glad none of the firefighters were killed. Something similar happened in my hometown years ago. Gas leak in the house, nobody home. The house had some type of old style doorbell with electrical contacts and when a visitor pushed the outside bell button the house blew up.
