How much time?

I was wondering how much time we spend on FSX, or, rather, how we spend it. If we made a three-slice pie chart of our time, where the slices are:
(i) Searching forums for ideas, comments and general chat, and download sites for new aircraft , colour schemes, scenery etc.
(ii) Installing new mods, colour schemes, aircraft etc and making a trial take off to see what they look like
(iii) Plain, straightforward flying from a to b, not necessarily from parked to shutdown, but a complete flight.

In my case I think (iii) would be the smallest by quite a bit, but what do others think?

i think i have to agree,,,,(iii) would be the smallest slice of my pie,i spend more time downloading and installing planes and mods than anything else...

I think developers prefer a different flavour of pie. :icon_lol:

In this case modelling/texturing/coding would take up 5/8 of the pie with 2/8 going to research and 1/8 to actually flying in the sim for enjoyment.

What he said. I got bitten by the scenery modelling bug again after a long layoff while my wife was sick, and now I spend a majority of my time re-learning everything I forgot about gmax and texturing.:icon_lol:

About 1/2 is research, 3/8 the actual painting, 1/16 test flying and finally 1/16 packaging and uploading, though the numbers vary from one paint to the next...
