Does the crew from metal2mesh hang out here? If so I have a request with no expectations attached. Would it be possible to get a copy of the Mirage 2000 model with external Alpha Channel enabled? And with the fresnel affecting reflection instead of specular? Obviously this was released some time ago unfortunately I hadn't started repainting yet! Haha... in all seriousness however, it would be super cool if that were possible? Would make for paints that have a little gloss to be possible while keeping the specular open as well...


I've messaged them on their Facebook account but haven't received any reply as of yet. It looks like they haven't been too active since about March.

Many thanks guys! It would be fantastic if this matrrial setting could come to fruition in "model.3" version update or something similar. The originals are fantastic and I wouldn't want to lose them. It would be great if it could be officially sanctioned so that paints could be released and everyone enjoy the alternate material features. Like I said earlier I also don't want to sound like an ungrateful user. The work is seriously one of my top 5 Addons and so I have no expectations. Plus im sure theyre busy with current projects....But if you don't ask you don't get ive learned in life.
 
Rick, I talked to Tim and here's his reply :

" When or if we d o a new version we will take his suggestions and see about redoing the model to accommodate the material setting with a reflection channel."

This is good news! Thanks Hank. In the meantime, there's no reason to stop doing paints for it. Hank, if you created the paintkit, EXCELLENT job! One of the best I've used. Very talented work there.

Next paint from me will be an Australian bird. Followed by by something "out of the box" .... ;)

I still have somewhere an Israeli one I did for fun in between the official paints, maybe I should upload it?
(not to forget I still have two RDAF F-100D paints to finish....to busy with DCS projects.....)

I'm going to do a RAAF scheme, an Air Canada (moden) scheme, and probably a Qantas scheme and likely one more which remains secret for now.
